Kimchi Miso Honey Butter Spread
Ingredients
- Unsalted butter – 38g (softened)
- Honey – 23g
- White miso paste – 10g
- Seoul Sister Kimchi Seasoning – 5g
- Heavy cream – 15ml (to adjust spreadability)
Instructions
1. Mix the Base
In a medium mixing bowl, add the softened unsalted butter, honey, white miso paste, and Seoul Sister Kimchi Seasoning. Using a spatula or spoon, mix until smooth and well combined. Ensure there are no lumps of butter remaining.
2. Adjust the Consistency
Gradually add the heavy cream, 1 teaspoon at a time, while continuously mixing. Mix until the spread reaches a smooth, spreadable consistency. It should be smooth but thick enough to hold its shape.
3. Chill and Set
Transfer the spread to a small container or butter dish. Refrigerate for at least 15-20 minutes to let the flavors meld while maintaining a soft, spreadable texture.
Usage
- Base Layer: Spread a thin layer on the plate as a base for Pommes Paolo.
- Finishing Touch: Add a dollop of the spread on top of fried potato stacks.
- Versatile Condiment: Use as a spread for bread, toast, or sandwiches.
- Topping: Melt it over grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or hot rice for an umami-packed flavor boost.
Chef's Notes
- Customization: Adjust the amount of Seoul Sister Kimchi Seasoning for more or less heat.
- Storage: Store the spread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Bring to room temperature before use for easy spreading.
- Smooth Texture: To ensure a silky spread, make sure the butter is fully softened before mixing.
